The Alberta Retailers Coalition (ARC) is a c-store led movement to educate and raise awareness about the rapidly growing and severe problem of contraband tobacco in Alberta.

The Alberta Retailers Coalition was established as a way to:

• Unify our voice as small business convenience store owners

• Spark a meaningful change in Alberta 

• Protect convenience store owners from losing their businesses

• Prevent crime networks from flourishing in Alberta communities

We are independent convenience store owners, community advocates, and small business leaders volunteering our time to confront the issue of illegal tobacco in Alberta.

Our mission is to put a spotlight on how contraband tobacco harms us all and how small retailers across the province are struggling to sustain our business while the black market thrives.

We believe collaboration is the best path forward. We are eager to work with community organizations, the Alberta government, and others to keep contraband tobacco out of Alberta.
